Dinakshie Priyasad talk with little girl

John Wooden rightly said, “Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out.” The sassy Dinakshie Priyasad is certainly living by this quote. She has been in the good books of critics since the day she ventured into celebrityhood and till date has maintained her stance.
The petite actress recently bagged the Most Popular Actress Award at the recently concluded Derana Sunsilk Film Awards for Chandran Rutnam’s ‘Meh Wage Adarayak’. She also stars and is engaged in shooting in the teledramas ‘T20’, ‘Mahi Pooja’, ‘VVIP’ and ‘Sihina Mala Mage’.
Q: Coming from a family who has ties with cinema was it pre destined that you would become an actress ?
A: I made my acting debut as a three year old playing the role of Malani Fonseka’s daughter in ‘Apaye Thathpara 84,000’. Then I became a TV presenter through Sirasa TV’s ‘Punchi Panchi’ children’s programme. I was a part of that show for seven years! My first teledrama was ‘Wassana Sihinaya’ which was based on Upul Shantha Sannasgala’s romantic novel. Then I went on to do more roles in teledrams like ‘Sanda Giri Pawwa’, ‘Hithata Wahal Weema’, ‘Piyavi’ etc
